Prep and Application
Step 1 Begin with clean, moisturized skin. Tweeze any stray brows.
Step 2 Eyebrow Powder. Using an angled brush and lightbrown eye shadow, fill in and correct the eyebrow shape. For added drama, emphasize the arch.
Step 3 Shadow Primer. Using a concealer brush, apply the primer to the entire lid. You can also conceal any blemishes by lightly tapping the brush on problem spots.
Step 4 Brown Shadow. Gently sweep brown shadow just over the curve of the eye and blend. This helps to emphasize the eyes by creating the illusion of greater depth.
Step 5 Gel Eye Liner. Apply the liner close to the top lash line and on the (bottom) water line.
Step 6 Accent Color. For more drama, use a flat brush and smudge the liner (top and bottom) with an accent color of your choice.
Step 7 Lashes. Apply single lashes or strip lashes. For the latter, trim each strip lash to fit the eye and allow the glue to dry for 30 seconds before applying it as close as possible to the lash line.
Step 8 Apply mascara to combine the natural lashes with the false lashes. Comb out any clumps for a more natural appearance.
Step 9 Foundation. Using an airbrush will give you flawless coverage. If an airbrush unit isn't available, use a foundation brush to lightly apply liquid foundation or a powder brush to apply mineral powder foundation. Apply blush to the apples of the cheeks and then sweep the brush toward the hairline.
Step 10 Use a brush to apply a long-wearing lip color. Go just outside the natural lip line and then fill in the entire lip. Allow the lip color to dry and then add a coat of lip gloss (optional).
Step 11 Contour and Highlight. Apply a light tan/taupe shade to the hollows of the cheeks. For added drama, lightly sweep the contour color under the jawline and down the sides of the nose. Apply highlighter above the cheekbone, on the brow bone and just above the bow of the lip.
