Rag + Bone Beauty
A range of colorful looks paraded down the runway at the Rag + Bone show, which was held September 7 in New York City. Part of the glitz and glamour of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, the show was held on the West Side of Manhattan. From flirty feminine dresses to layered ensembles and menswear-inspired looks, pops of bold color energized the collection.
To complement the fashion looks, which boasted an easy sophistication, Redken Creative Consultant Guido styled a modern look that was almost two hairstyles in one. The star stylist debuted a sleek, slicked back front and exposed forehead, which gave way to a natural, girly textured look in the back. He likened the overall Rag + Bone look to a Katharine Hepburn-like woman.
"The identity of the Rag + Bone girl is clearer than ever, and this masculine-yet-feminine tomboy style is more defined than looks shown in past seasons," says Guido. "This soft-yet-tough style is a little beachy, calling to 90s minimalism. Having the forehead exposed makes for a dramatic look and adds structure as a way to update a textured, wavy look."

- Apply a generous amount of hardwear 16 super strong gel to the front 2-3 inches of hair, slicking back with fingers, leaving the forehead exposed.
