Redken Artist Connection
“Train the trainers” is an overworked phrase—that is, until the Redken Artist Connection (RAC) recently exploded on the Las Vegas scene.
Held at the posh Red Rock Resort, a stellar cast of committed Redken Artists (advanced training specialists for salons), which hailed from various points in the U.S., Canada, Central America, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, and U.K., attended RAC for four glorious days to learn about and master new Redken offerings for 2012.
Hot Events at RAC:
- “Backstage” by star headliner Guido Palau, where he presented his spring/summer 2012 trends and overall favorite looks from past seasons in an up-close and personal setting.
- New Chromatics launch: Chromatics Prismatic Permanent Color not only colors hair in true Redken style, but also measurably strengthens and conditions hair. (read page 58 for all the details).
- Color Generation presentation by nine international colorists from the U.S., Sweden, Italy, Argentina, Australia, Canada, U.K., and Germany.
- Pureology’s latest green launch of Zero Waste Shampoo and HairCondition packaging, which has an improved sustainability factor (page 68 has the full scoop).
“The spirit and enthusiasm of the attendees at RAC were contagious!” beams Bobbi Foster-Kelley, Assistant VP of National Training. “Redken Artists couldn’t wait to get back to their salons and share what they had learned.”
HOT editors wholeheartedly agree. Our most amazing observations: Watching 880 attendees create and apply Chromatics color designs at once without a hint of odor; and final stylings of all models, which revealed rich hues, believable shine and healthy-looking strands. (RedkenSalon.com)

Grand Opening: Using the hustle and bustle of Fifth Avenue as a video backdrop, Chromatics models toted shopping bags, texted and chatted while hurrying about on stage in true New York style. |
