The history of hairstyles in the 20th century is a lively one, with fast-paced fashions made even more memorable by show-stopping hairstyles. Ranging from the Gibson girl chignon, to the first appearance of the bob, Lucille Ball's poodle cut and Farrah Fawcett's feathered hair, it was a century filled with fast-paced hairstyling changes that quickly broke the Victorian beauty mold, created truly new looks and drove beauty innovations at lightning speed.
What's missing: Sassoon's reinvention of the bob and The Rachel, two of the most iconic hairstyles of the 20th century.
