The inspiration for my collection was the song by Robyn "Dancing on My Own". I think the story of the song about taking a stand and making your night your own should be an anthem for all women. The female model goes from demur to punk and to establish her identity and to continue "dancing on her own" with or without a partner.

About the Author of "Dancing On My Own"


A second generation stylist, Josh Hambly helms from Detroit, MI and is a Chicago transplant since 2006. Spending Saturdays watching his mom style the entire extended families head in his kitchen, he knew he would one day be picking up that comb and shear to deliver, with the same ambition as his mother, one of a kind styles for each head he "bangs".

Attending Central Michigan University to pursue a BS BA with a concentration in marketing and working in the marketing profession since 2006, he knew that the day to day of the corporate monster was not for him. In May 2009 he decided to pursue his dream of being a stylist and sought the tutelage of the Master Educators at Pivot Point Academy International LLC. Currently completing his education, he has already built a strong following as a student stylist.

His aspirations are not only to become a vital asset to a reputable salon, but beyond to platform artistry and education in the near future.
