How to do a five-strand French braid hairstyle
Step 1: Take a section of hair from the top front section of the head. Split it into three parts - left, middle, right. Do one conventional braid weave.
Step 2: On the left side, take a loose strand and braid it underneath the first strand and over the second.
Step 3: On the right side, separate a strand, put it under the first strand and over the second. As a result, there should be five strands -three in the left hand and in the right hand.
Step 4: Continue braiding, but now with the tieback. Start with the left side braids; take the leftmost strand (the first one), put it underneath the second, and on top of the third strand. From the loose hair, separate a strand from the left side and connect it with the left (first) strand braid.
Step 5: On the right side of the braid, take the rightmost strand, put it under the second strand, and on top of the third strand. From the loose hair, separate a strand and combine it with the right strand braid.
Step 6: Continue braiding the five strands with the tieback from the loose hair on both sides. Keep braiding until reaching the boundary line of hair growth at the neck.
Step 7: Once there is no more loose hair, continue braiding without the tieback.
Step 8: Secure the braid with a rubber band.
