How to do a French fishtail braid hairstyle
Step 1: Separate a portion of hair from the top-center of the head and hairline. Divide it into two sections and twist them together.
Step 2: Separate a thin strand from the right side of loose hair, stretch it over the entire right strand of the original second and connect it with the left strand.
Step 3: Separate a thin strand from the left side of loose hair, stretch it over the entire left strand of the original second and connect it with the right strand.
Step 4: Continue braiding, but now adding the tieback. To do so, separate a thin strand of hair from the right side of the braid, and from the loose hair separate a thin strand of hair. Connect both with the right side of the braid by stretching them over the entire right section of the braid to connect with the left side of the braid.
Step 5: Separate a thin strand of hair from the left side of the braid, and from the loose hair separate a thin strand of hair. Connect both with the left side of the braid by stretching them over the entire left section of the braid to connect with the right side of the braid.
Step 6: Continue weaving with the tieback from both sides.
Step 7: Once you reach the nape of the neck and no loose hair remains, continue braiding without the tieback.
