Medium       CUT       COLOR Tyler Johnston, Duffy

Hair:  Tyler Johnston, Duffy  Color:  Tracy Hayes  Makeup:  Maria Olsson  Photo:  Simon Emmet  Products: Schwarzkopf Professional

1-3. Begin by taking a horizontal section across the crown from ear to ear. Take a second horizontal section from ear to ear just above the occipital bone. Bisect the panel you have created. Lastly create a narrow segment shaped section on the top of the head just above the bisected
panel. Begin the haircut below the occipital bone and use a slicing technique in to the nape to refine and add texture. Continue on to the panels just behind the ear.
4-6. The same cutting procedure is then repeated on the opposite side of the head. Once complete, refine each back section using a pointing technique.
7-9. Next, release the triangular section and cut using a slicing technique to add length to the back section. Work through the side sections in the same manner. This is repeated on both sides of the head, remembering to section away the fringe area.
10-11. Finally begin work on the fringe section and using a pointing technique cut a defined fringe outline just above the eyes. The haircut is then cross checked.
12-14. Our model's natural hair colour is a base 7-0 Medium Blonde. Firstly, apply Igora Skin Protection Cream around the hairline to prevent staining. Working through the side areas, take very fine sections of the longer lengths; using foils, tint the ends using the first colour.
15-16. This tint application technique is used on both sides of the haircut.
17-19. Once complete, apply the second colour to the rest of the head, beginning at the roots and working through to the mid lengths and ends. The colours are then left to develop according to the manufacturer's shade guide instructions.
