Step 1. Separate the top section and pin out of the way.
Step 2. Begin by cutting all unpinned hair, starting at the hairline and using a Babyliss Pro Volare X2 Clipper and #3 guard.
Step 3. To create graduation, change to a #2 guard and cut upward to the temple. To create tighter sides, change to a #1.5 guard and cut from the perimeter up 1" to 1.5", to create a gentle fade.
Step 4. Clean up around the perimeter with a Wahl Sterling MAG trimmer.
Step 5. Connect the sides with the top and create texture with Rusk Beta Blades.
Step 6. Soften edges and blend where needed using a Sam Villa Blending Shear.
Step 7. Direct the top using your fi ngers and a Sam Villa ETC Dryer. Add separation with Pravana Detail.
