Step 1-2. Section hair as shown.

Step 3. Separate a guide in the top/center parietal area. Holding the hair at a 90º angle, cut to 1 1/2" in length.

Step 4. Separate the next section with a radial parting. Using your guide to establish the length, cut the hair at a 90º angle.

Step 5-7. Cut all sections in the parietal and temporal areas, separating them with radial partings and cutting at a 90º angle.

Step 8-10. Repeat the same cutting pattern in the upperoccipital area.

Step 11. Connect and blend the lower-occipital and upper-occipital areas. Maintain a 90º angle down to the hairline. Comb the hair of the lower-occipital area downward and cut the neckline at a 0° angle.

Step 12. Shape the back/side perimeter line and around the ear.

Step 13. Using the scissor-over-comb technique, taper the temporal and parietal areas. Shorten the entire haircut to approximately ½" in length, keeping the silhouette square. Cut the sideburns to a short point.

Step 14-16. Blow-dry hair. Create precision perimeter lines all around the head.
