Long HAIRDO The New Wave

Mixing straight and smooth with lots of texture is the modern way to wave.
1. This look focuses voluptuous waves placed in the center of the hair's length. Start with dry hair. Work a generous amount of mousse through hair, then dry with blow-dryer and paddle brush - this will give hair super body and hold. As you dry, brush hair to the side, keeping roots flat. Remember, you don't want height or volume for this style.
2. Use the Philips Salon Straight & Curl to flat-iron hair from roots to chin-level on each section. Use gentle tension as you straighten. Do not lift the iron as you work - keep the roots flat to create a smooth, close-to-the-head look.
3. Leave the areas of the hair from scalp to chin-level straight. Now use the iron to curl the sections from the middle to the ends. Use the Philips Salon Straight & Curl to clamp the section of hair at chin-height. Wrap the hair around it. Slowly pull iron down to ends, keeping hair wrapped as you pull.
4. Brush the hair gently with a natural bristle brush, and smooth curls into soft, rhythmic wave pattern. Ends will be blunt and straight, not curly, for a modern finish.
Don't lift your iron - this style hugs the head.
