Get That Light Outta My Eyes

Jules Tognini unveils his new collection, "Get That Light Outta My Eyes,' which spotlights bold looks and lots of color.

Tognini chose a revolutionary approach to coloring hair. Rather than using dye, chemicals, or paint, this master used light.

"The best sound in the world is when hair hits the ground especially falling off a short-haired blonde chick," says Tognini. "This collection was all about girls rocking short hair, with fresh color."

Chicks Dig Beards and Scars

Collection: Fall/Winter 2014
Australian stylist, Jules Tognini was named "Male Hairdresser of the Year" at the 2013 Australian and New Zealand Schwarzkopf Hair Expo Awards.
His winning collection, "Chicks Dig Beards and Scars," was inspired by "real dudes," -ones that do "dude things" such as swearing and drinking from the milk container.

When creating the collection, Tognini set out to capture the rugged reality of the natural man. He aimed to maintain that raw, untamed hair quality that makes men truly masculine.

Ian Davies of Ocean Hairdressing for JOICO, who hails from Cardiff in Wales, recently nabbed the "finalist" title at the British Hairdressing Awards.
"I've always been fascinated by street style and the ability to mix haute couture with a gritty, urban edge," reveals Ian Davies, Ocean Hairdressing. "This collection is all about high-fashion hair for today's real woman; strong silhouettes, exaggerated texture and an effortless appeal which comes together in these beautiful, timeless looks that take inspiration from across the decades."

Guardians

Guardians

Collection: Fall/Winter 2014
Inspired by guardian angels and mystical figures, Daniel Granger Hairdressing of Northampton, England, showcases his strength in precision cutting and creating strong, geometric shapes.
"Guardian" also spotlights Lucie King's eye for feminine, expensive looking hair color.
Together, the dynamic duo fuses a joint finesse in styling, making for an iconic collection. A lace effect made from hair, an exaggerated Marcel wave and a short, androgynous crop are all part of the journey to portray alluring, angelic but mysterious images with a modern day, high fashion edge.
