Paul Gehring was born on April 14, 1962 in Overdinkel, a small Dutch town bordered by Germany. His first job in the field was at a salon in Enschede, where his outstanding skills, both as a stylist and as a businessman, quickly became apparent. Gehring next became manager of a prestigious salon in Dusseldorf, and also taught at Junge und Michaelis. After moving to Barcelona, he worked with the well-regarded Luis Llongueras as a teacher at the Llongueras International Center, as well as opening his own salon. Gehring invented a unique cutting technique that allowed him to create a haircut in a mere 10 minutes, as well as innovative coloring and styling techniques.
