In an effort to eradicate breast cancer, many charitable companies have graciously stepped up to assist in battling the disease by offering special "pink" products. Proceeds benefit research, prevention, awareness and beyond-in the hopes that one day soon breast cancer will no longer be a threat to women. Cherie Porter's winning zipper design was chosen for this special breast cancer initiative.
Five percent of net proceeds (up to $40,000) from the sale of these special pink cans will benefit Look Good Feel Better (LGFB)-a national public service program that assists patients struggling with the appearance-related challenges of cancer treatment.
In other Sexy Hair news, more than 100 employees gathered at California's Santa Monica Beach on August 16, 2012 for the company's 3rd Caring is Sexy Walkathon.
At the end of the event, approximately $5,000 was raised for Look Good Feel Better. A partner since 2011, Sexy Hair has raised more than $300,000 for the organization.
SHE by SO.CAP. USA
Ron "Mr. Ron" Cardillo, President and CEO of SHE by SO.CAP. USA, initiated his company's "Pink Hair for Hope" campaign seven years ago.
"When we launched our program, we never dreamed that it would become an industry phenomenon," Mr. Ron explains.
"I remember all of us being so amazed and happy the first year when we raised $25,000.
Because we had a better handle on how to promote the program the next year, we raised $175,000.
Today, our 'Pink Hair for Hope' campaign-which is supported by SHE by SO.CAP. USA distributors, salon network and many other salons and beauty professionals-has raised over $2.5 million to fight this disease."
For every pink product sold, Surface will donate $1.00 to the Lisa Rendall Foundation. Lisa Rendall was a local radio personality who lived with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer for over 10 years.
She's credited with putting a face to breast cancer in Saskatchewan, Canada, by telling her story and raising over $400,000 for research.
Her organization continues to raise funds for the cause.
Alterna's 1 Night Highlights in Haute Pink
Alterna dares beauty enthusiasts to have a splash of fun with color!

Joico's JoiMist Firm Duo, ISO Daily Finish
Joico/ISO's Beauty for Hope Initiative is a year-round campaign that includes fundraising events and promotions, education, support and encouragement, as well as lots of inspiration.
The charitable company unveils a new program that essentially enables it to double its annual efforts.
Via a partnership with Beauty Systems Group, Joico/ISO is offering special edition products that benefit Susan G. Komen For the Cure. To qualify for the contribution, organizations must verify that at least 80% of the donation will go directly toward research, prevention and/or screening.
Cold Cap Therapy
