HOT uncovers the easy beauty looks that turned heads at Balenciaga's runway show in Paris
Balenciaga
Chic fashion meets the Space Age in this futuristic apparel collection that debuted at the Balenciaga show. The easy, textured hair looks complemented the highly designed, structured clothing collection shown on the runway. Redken's creative consultant Guido kicked off Fashion Week with three highly wearable styles. "The collections at Balenciaga are always very elaborate, so we worked on a very easy hairstyle. What's cool about it is, we're creating a new type of texture. It's not quite as rich as 'beachy waves' although similar. It's really a bit tougher in texture," says Guido. "It's as if the girl hasn't bothered with her hair, but is wearing the most amazing, designed clothes." Guido also cut fringe on about six of the models. The fringe looked "super cool with the clothes." Guido used Redken's Guts 10 Root Targeted Volume Spray Foam and All Soft Argan-6 Multi-care Oil to create the look.

Create the Look:
- On damp hair, apply Guts and rough dry about 80 percent of the hair and let the rest dry naturally to enhance the natural texture and movement.
- On about 6 models, Guido created a left side part and cut fringe on an angle covering the right eye. On the remaining models, Guido created a messy center part.
- To finish, run a small amount of Argan-6 though the hair to remove any frizz.
During this special Fashion Week coverage, HOT provides a peek at the beauty looks and flirty fashions that captivated audiences at the Nina Ricci show.
Nina Ricci
Parisian style was a key theme at the Nina Ricci show, which showed a feminine, flirtatious collection designed specifically for the woman who yearns to be ladylike yet ultra sexy.
"Nina Ricci is a very feminine house and we wanted the models to wear a very feminine style," says Guido. "The soft ponytail is simple, but a little bourgeois feeling, and was inspired by Catherine Deneuve."
Guido used several Redken products to create the easy, feminine looks, including Velvet Gelatine 07 Cushioning Blow-dry Gel, All Soft Argan-6 Multi-care Oil, Spray Starch 15 Versatile Ironing Spray and Fashion Work 12 Versatile Working Spray.

Create the Look:
- Apply Velvet Gelatine 07 Cushioning Blow-dry Gel to damp hair and blow-dry with a round brush.
- Create a bit of volume at the crown by blow-drying the area away from the scalp.
- Apply All Soft Argan-6 Multi-care Oil throughout hair (once it's dry) for a smoothing effect.
- Pull hair into a low ponytail. Secure with an elastic band and wrap a piece of hair around the elastic to cover it.
- Lightly apply Spray Starch 15 Versatile Ironing Spray to the ends of the ponytail. With a 1" curling iron, curl the ends.
- Finish with Fashion Work 12 Versatile Working Spray.
During Fashion Week in Paris HOT caught a glimpse of the beauty scene backstage at the Pedro Lourenco show.
Pedro Lourenco
Up-and-coming Brazilian designer Pedro Lourenco debuted his fourth runway show in "The City of Light." His futuristic collection was composed of sporty jackets, slim skirts and cropped pants in a fusion of very modern materials. Inspired by ecological architecture, the collection showed off the designer's advanced technical skills.
"The collection included very futuristic clothing, and when the clothes are so designed, it's best to do a very easy look," says Guido. "The style we collaborated on is a half up/half down ponytail, so it looks like the girl could have done it herself," says Guido. The master stylist used Satinwear 02 Ultimate Blow-dry Lotion and Nature's Rescue Radiant Sea Spray to create the looks.

Create the Look:
- Apply Satinwear 02 Ultimate Blow-dry Lotion to damp hair and rough dry.
- Create a messy center part.
- Pull into a low ponytail with an elastic band. On the third turn of the elastic, only pull the hair out about 1/3 of the way through, so you create a little bump shape with the ends out.
- Apply Nature's Rescue Sea Spray to the hair that's left out of the shape to create a natural texture.
HOT reports on the fashion and beauty looks that debuted at the Marc by Marc Jacobs show in New York City.
Marc by Marc Jacobs
A sleek, clean up-do was created to complement the relaxed looks that dominated the Spring/Summer 2012 collection at Marc by Marc Jacobs.
"When collaborating with Marc, the inspiration that was referenced was actually my own work from the 90's. This look started as a ponytail and we reinvented it. We couldn't keep it simple, so we created a more complicated clean and spiky version," reveals Guido.
He used Satinwear 02 Ultimate Blow-dry Lotion, Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray and Glass 01 Smoothing Serum to achieve the look.

Create the Look:
- Apply Satinwear 02 Ultimate Blow-dry Lotion to damp hair and blow-dry.
- Pull hair back into a ponytail at the occipital bone and secure with an elastic band. Make sure there's no part showing, and that the hair is clean off the face.
- Flip the ponytail towards the front of the head, and about 2 inches above the elastic, secure the hair with a silver clip.
- Then flip the ponytail back down towards the nape of the neck and about 2 inches below the elastic. Secure with a second clip to create a bump effect.
- Spray the entire shape with Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray.
- Pull a few pieces out from the bump and spray with Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray to create an aerodynamic effect.
- Finish the look by adding a heavy amount of Glass 01 Smoothing Serum to the area from the hairline to the elastic for a high shine look.
