Jennifer Lopez vs. Bloggers

Recent research by BlogHer.com
Jennifer Lopez vs. Bloggers

Whose endorsement is more important to your customers: super-celebrities like J. Lo or a blogger? A couple of years ago "Jennifer Lopez" would have been the obvious answer, but things appear to have changed. In the digital age, BlogHer.com claims that women are more influenced by the opinion of a blogger than any celebrity when it comes to leaing more about products or making purchase decisions. Source: 2011 Social Media Matters Study - recent research by BlogHer.com, a leading online network for women.

The study, which was conducted in conjunction with global communications consultancy Ketchum, and consumer research firm Nielsen Co., sampled both the general population and BlogHer community for its probe into American women's social-media trends. "Over the last four years, we have measured and reported the growing trust women have in the bloggers they read and how this translates directly into purchasing decisions," says Elisa Camahort Page, BlogHer co-founder and COO.
