Sleek Ponytail

Normally reserved for star athletes, the classic pony gets sleek, smooth and sexy with this look from Oribe educator, Kien Hoang. Get this high-wattage style in just a few easy steps!
Sleek Ponytail
S

Step 1. Prep damp hair with Oribe Royal Blowout and blow-dry to a smooth finish. The Royal Blowout will also seal split ends and soften the hair.

Step 2. Flat-iron hair in sections, spraying Oribe  Soft Lacquer onto each section for a super-straight shiny finish that will stay sleek in even the most humid climates.

Step 3. Locate the highest point on your crown, then pull hair into a ponytail there, using Oribe Superfine Hair Spray as you brush the hair into a tight ponytail with a boar bristle brush. Secure with an elastic bungee.

Step 4. Take a small piece of hair from the ponytail, spray it with Oribe Soft Lacquer and hit it with a flat iron again to create a flat panel. Take the panel and wrap it around the base of the ponytail to hide the elastic, then secure with pins. This will give a polished and finished look to the ponytail.

Step 5. Add Oribe Gold Lust to the “tail” for high shine and UV protection.
