Real Vamp!
by Darian Bishop, TONI&GUY Advanced Academy Director, NAHA 2009 Avant Garde Category WinnerHe does have a great smile anda nice strong jaw line but he really needs to focus a bit on grooming. He looks better when he is a bit scruffy as it takes away from his “baby face” but his eyebrows need some major help. He has really nice hair with a great texture but he needs to ease up on the hair product; he manages to make it look too greasy with over use. Nothing a good haircut and a little curl cream couldn’t fix. Longer, looser hair is really nice on men right now, especially with some natural texture. I think he would look great with a bit more length, adding only a light layer to maintain a bit of weight on the top but eliminate any strong corners. Air drying with a little bit of light weight gel would give a nice hold, but don’t forget to break up the curl once it is dry to make it look soft. Think Jim Morrison, the 70s influence is nice for longer men’s hair right now.
He is very eclectic in his wardrobes, but he’s best when he’s wearing a comfortable and lived-in style. Otherwise, he often looks like he’s trying too hard. While we all love Edward, he’s just a character in a book and a movie.A fashionable man should keep it simple and casual, having a few nice pieces in his wardrobe to keep him looking polished. A good pair of jeans (not too tight, not too loose) and a great distressed jacket and a plain T-shirt is the best.
All in all, he is a good looking guy with great potential, he just needs to remember that sometimes less is more.
