Steampunk embraces a fantasy existence that teeters between the moral purity of the Victorian Era and the dawn of independence during the Industrial Age-both with a hint of Goth thrown in for good measure.
It's replete with leather corsets, mechanical wonders and hints of the Old West.
The hair for Steampunk fashion includes unfettered curls, edgy urban styles and over-the-top, Victorian-esque updos.

While this Steampunk outfit appears to be more of a costume, if you took away the skirt and added jeans, you would have an amazing street style. Often bordering on Goth, Steampunk makeup can be out there...or not. Love this model's gadgetry that she's using as a headband; the hair looks so unfettered and fabulous! Photographer: Rebeca Saray |
