Hair fashion transforms into fine art as compelling cobalt and cerulean blues fade to black in Gila Rut Aveda Salon's "Blue Girl" series. 'From Gila Rut's new "Emerge" collection, "Blue Girl" is a study of how dimension and direction can emerge and merge to offer pure couture for color and cut.
From front to side to back, "Blue Girl" makes the striking point that from every angle and section, 'style' takes on its own power of creative perspective. Edges are edgier, lines align in ordered ways-and the finish is flawless! All sections unite and end in dramatic conclusion.
The Gila Rut Aveda Salon design team introduced their own signature Giclee color technique. The unique process allows for a rich, clear reproduction of color tones and hues-much like the printed digital quality of fine art.
In "Blue Girl," the rich winter blues of cobalt and cerulean are vibrant and lustrous throughout on the upper sections, blending into black in the bottom half to line and define. Angles are asymmetric to frame the features.

Inspired by the energizing runways of Fashion Week, power team Sam Villa and Geneva Cowen translate these ultra-glam looks for the salon customer. The duo says that in an effort to spotlight the chic fashion silhouettes, runway beauty looks tend to debut hair that is swept up and off of the face and neck areas.
Inspired by this concept, Villa and Cowen took this concept to another level. In "Fascinated by Fashion," ponytails and buns were designed with urban chic accents such as blunt edges, angular lines and exaggerated silhouettes with fringe.
